Election after-math

It’s over – the campaign for all it’s good and bad has come to an end.

There will be a new face in the white house come January 20th 2017.

And this country has a lot to do, we are so divided it is sickening.

Political Affiliations and views are acceptable forms of disagreement, however when the views and sentiments are racially motivated or degrading to a particular faith or gender, we’ve entered a whole new ballgame. It is not okay.

If you want to be against a policy, be against it – fight for your stance. However if you are against a person based on their skin color, ethnicity, religious beliefs or gender. YOU are the problem. YOU alone are the problem and YOU alone need to fix it.

This election cycle has tested  the country and guess what?

The country failed.

We wanted to believe that we were so progressive have the first Black President serve, not one but two terms. Well boy were we wrong. Now let’s be clear none of this is new.

However the levels and the boldness of  the racial and gender bias were quite astonishing.

I do not have the answers yet, it is still too new…however I do know that there is work to be done. We are the greatest country on the earth and we will not fail.

Love still trumps Hate and the Good will prevail….the road might be rough but we will prevail. Stand up and Stand Together!
