Tennessee Voters will be faced with 4 very important amendments on the ballot.
First let’s tackle Amendment #1 quickly…
What they want you to believe is:
- A Yes vote will make abortion clinics accountable and calls for abortion inspections only.
- A Yes vote will make a woman’s choice safer in the abortion clinic.
WRONG and WRONG.
Bottom line is that this amendment if approved (voted on with a yea) would allow politicians to interfere with a woman’s private medical decisions. It is more about government control over a woman’s personal decision than it is about a facility.
No one, aside from the woman making the decision should have control over that decision, regardless of one’s view on abortion, that CHOICE is between that woman and her Maker. The end.
Here is what the Amendment says:
The official ballot text is as follows:
|“||Shall Article I, of the Constitution of Tennessee be amended by adding the following language as a new, appropriately designated section:
Nothing in this Constitution secures or protects a right to abortion or requires the funding of an abortion. The people retain the right through their elected state representatives and state senators to enact, amend, or repeal statutes regarding abortion, including, but not limited to, circumstances of pregnancy resulting from rape or incest or when necessary to save the life of the mother.
